Excellent entry. There’s a book that is now difficult to find and that might prove interesting to you and other readers here, it’s called The Independent Group: Postwar Britain and the Aesthetics of Plenty (MIT, US, 1990), edited by David Robbins. If you could find it, I’m sure many people would be interested!
