View, 1 (1978-1979)

The inaugural volume of View magazine consisting of ten individual pamphlets in a slip-case box each containing an interview by Robin White. The artists interviewed include John Cage, Robert Barry, Pat Steir, Steve Reich, Tom Marioni, Hans Haacke, Robert Mangold, Chris Burden, Daniel Buren, and Jannis Kounellis.

The Magazine of the Institute of Contemporary Arts, 5-6: Cybernetic Serendipity (1968)

Two issues of ICA London’s magazine dedicated to the seminal exhibition exploring relationships between arts and cybernetics, Cybernetic Serendipity.

The Issue 5 contains texts by Martin Gardner on Op art, Pierre Barbaud on information theory and music, Charles Csuri on his computer art, and an essay on Andrew Rawlinson’s concrete poetry.

The Issue 6 has texts by Daphne Oram, Max Bense, Petar Milojevic, and Nam June Paik.

“Documnt is a hybrid magazine / theory journal / artists book / mixtape series started by Matt Arnold and Anne Lippert in 2015. It’s grown into an international community of artists, writers, musicians, DJs – with nodes of activity in Berlin, Vancouver, and New York. As an experiment in post-internet documentation, or different modes of handling, storing and perceiving digital/analog information, objects, networks and processes, we are motivated against individualist/competitive/quantitative-obsessed logic, toward the communal and emancipatory. These are vibrant times.”
